Process
From the land,
to the keys.
A house of this magnitude is a relationship of two or three years. We design the process with the same care as the building.

- I
On the Land
Our first meeting is held on the site of your future home. A senior architect and project lead walk the land with you — marking sightlines, water, prevailing wind, the place for the hearth.
- II
Conception
In a single day we return with a few directions shaped by your land and your brief — each one rendered as a clear visual. Powerful tools let us move fast; our architect then polishes the one you choose, line by line, until it is right.
- III
Design Development
Drawings deepen. Engineering is engaged. Material samples — cedar, fir, pine, stone — are brought to your table. Our interior designers detail every room alongside the architecture, never after it.
- IV
Landscape
The land around the house is designed with the same care as the rooms within. Native plantings, stone pathways, drainage and grading are resolved before the first timber is raised.
- V
Timber Selection
Our forester walks the stands. Logs are marked, harvested, transported and dried under our supervision. Every primary timber in the home can be traced to its tree.
- VI
Build
Foundations are poured. The timber frame is cut and pegged in our shop, then raised on site over a few extraordinary days. Stone, glazing and finish trades follow in a single continuous campaign.
- VII
Handover
We commission every system, walk every room with you, and leave behind a bound dossier — architectural drawings, material provenance, maintenance calendar. The house is yours. Our relationship continues.
